BEST WAYS TO PREVENT ACNE
impact on the health of your skin. If you’re prone becomes kouts, look for products that say “non-comedogenic”
on the label. This means that the product is specifically
designed not to clog your pores. Clogged pores are one of
the leading causes of breakouts.
2.Change your pillow case weekly: Forget the cheap acne cream you purchase every month, changing your pillow case is a proven method of preventing breakouts. All of the sweat, dirt and makeup from your face is seeping into your pillow every night. If you don't wash your pillow cases regularly you are basically planting your face on a pillow of sweat and dirt for 8 hours. Washing you pillow cases will give your face the fresh it needs at the end of the day.
3.Moisturize: If you have turned to acne product to control your outbreak( which most of you probably have) the importance of moisturizing becomes a key component in keeping your breakouts at bay.most acne products contains ingredients that dry out the skin, thus moisturizing immediately after it is critical. Make sure you hydrate your skin with water before applying the moisturizer.

KIM KARDASHIAN'S EXTENSIVE CONTOURING ROUTINE
I’m sure you’d agree that Kim Kardashian always has
perfect make-up on. And we’ve all wondered how she
has managed to get this look 100% perfect every single time, her makeup is always flawless and her secret is Contouring .
Using a shade much lighter than your skin tone, apply concealer to your T-zone, directly down
the center of your nose, and just above your cheekbones
under each eye. Next, apply a dark stripe of
foundation in the hollow of each cheek before blending
it with the lighter shade to complete the dramatic
effect.

Lupita Nyong’sMakeup On New York Magazine Cover Misses The Mark By A Longshot
Lupita Nyong is New York Magazine‘s Spring
Fashion issue cover girl , which makes sense given the
place Nyong’o's made for herself on every best dressed
list in the last six months. The clothing is expectedly
gorgeous, and more than that, the photos are visually
interesting beyond being beautiful. I can barely take
my eyes off of her perfect biceps. However, the
impossible has happened: I am displeased by a beauty
choice concerning Nyong’o. Much of the makeup in the
shoot seems oddly off, as if none of the choices were
intentional or even picked with Nyong’o in mind.
I appreciate what NY Mag was trying to do with a bold
styling risk, but it didn’t measure up to the risks
Nyong’o takes on the red carpet or at press events by a
long shot. This is the woman who looked fantastic in a
cape, made a purple jumpsuit seem like obvious casual
wear, and rocked a faux widow’s peak without batting
an eye. Nyong’o's risks have all been calculated to
great effect, while this frosted confection coupled with
overeager airbrushing feels unintentional and
haphazard.
The pink eye shadow is a pretty bold choice, and I
think it works in some of the photos better than
others. It’s a testament to Nyong’o radiant skin that she
can wear pink eye shadow without looking like she’s
being treated for some sort of infection, it’s
shocking and unconventional, but at worst, it fights her
skin tone and detracts from her eyes.
I think the makeup truly fails with the lipstick. The
frosted pale pink simply doesn’t do anything for
Nyong’o's lips, which are impossibly beautiful on any
other day. In this picture, for instance, I feel like skin
is washed out and her lips are downplayed by the
silvery pink that’s caked on top, and ruins an
otherwise stunning photo.

A NATURAL MAKEUP LOOK IS ALL ABOUT WHERE YOU DONT APPLY COSMETICS SAYS FRIDA GUSTAVSSON
The 20-year-old Swedish beauty is a spokesmodel for
make-up giant Maybelline.
She claims the best way to achieve a natural glow is to
know exactly where, and where not, to apply your favourite
foundation.
“No make-up make-up is as much about where you don’t
put your cosmetics as where you do. I’ve learnt to apply my
foundation to the centre of my face for the most natural
look. As soon as you take it to your temples, jaw line and
the sides of your cheeks, it becomes too done,” she
explained to Britain ’s Grazia magazine.
The beauty expert has walked the runway for some of the
biggest names in fashion, including Valentino, Chanel and
Alexander McQueen.
Frida is used to getting her make-up done by professional
artists and revealed that she’ll be working the orange lip
trend this season, but with her own twist on the look.
“At the moment, I’m sticking to a vibrant mandarin shade
rather that going full tilt towards orange. It’s both flattering
and forgiving against a winter complexion,” she revealed.
As a model Frida takes a keen interest in the latest catwalk
looks and insists replicating them at home doesn’t have to
be a chore.
“I love spring’s elegant and elongated take on eyeliner, but
it’s hard without a professional make-up artist on hand.
One of the best tricks I’ve learned backstage is to take a
beige kohl pencil and use to draw a line and shape your
eyes.
“Then once you’ve got the structure, go over it with a black
liner. Make-up artist James Kaliardos is the man behind

TYPES OF MAKEUP BRUSHES AND THEIR USES
FOUNDATION BRUSH Designed to achieve a smooth and flawless finish, the bristles are tightly packed with a tapered tip for fluid application. Dampen the brush first in warm water and firmly squeeze the excess into a towel or tissue,
this will help achieve a more even distribution. You
can also blend any brush strokes as you go with a
damp natural or wedge sponge.
CONCEALER/CAMOUFLAGE BRUSH
A soft bristled, flat brush with a wider base and a
pointed tip. Use to apply concealer under the eyes, to
spots and to camouflage problem areas such as broken
capillaries and areas of discolouration. Pictured:

DUO FIBRE BRUSH
Made from a blend of goat and synthetic fibres this
brush is ideal for buffing and blending colour. The flat,
circular, feathery head provides lightweight and
buildable coverage of liquid, cream or powder. Use to
blend cream blush onto the apples of your cheeks or
for a light dusting of shimmer powder to your cheek
and brow bones. Pictured: MAC Due Fiber Face Brush
BRONZER/POWDER BRUSH
Soft, full and rounded, this brush can be used for both
compact powder and bronzer. The bristles pick up the
perfect amount of colour and distribute flawlessly onto
the skin. Load your brush with the powder and shake
away any excess before sweeping onto the skin.

MINERAL POWDER BRUSH
A thick bundled brush that can sometimes be used
both wet and dry. It is expertly designed to buff

FAN POWDER BRUSH
Created for use with loose powder, the fine fan sweeps
a light dusting of powder onto the skin for a soft,
velvety effect. This application technique avoids heavy
coverage which can highlight fine lines and
imperfections. These brushes are also used to remove
excess powder on the face, particularly after
eyeshadow application. Pictured: Benefit Fantail Brush
BLUSHER BRUSH
Made with fine, gentle fibres the blusher brush has a
rounded head which is perfect for giving a pop of
colour to the apples of your cheeks. Sweep and blend
along your cheekbone drawing the brush up into your
hairline. Pictured: MAC Blush Brush
FACE CONTOUR BRUSH
Slanted and rounded in shape, the contour brush
mimics the angles of your cheekbones. This is ideal for
highlighting and shading with bronzer or illuminating
powder. Use with cream, gel or powder to contour a
sculpted finish for a defined and dramatic makeup.

line of the pencil giving a smouldering finish. Larger
ones can also be used for applying eyeshadow such as
The Body Shop's Smudger Brush.
SLANTED EYEBROW DEFINER BRUSH

CLEANING MAKEUP BRUSHES
Finally, don't forget your brush cleaner! You don't
want to spend a lot of money buying high quality
makeup brushes if you are not going to be able to look
after them by keeping them clean and conditioned.
Foundation, eyeshadow and lip brushes should be
cleansed after each use to stop bacteria spreading and
therefore keep your skin clear; whilst other types of
brushes such as powder and blusher can be cleansed
once a week. Most brands that sell brushes also have a
brush cleanser.

HOW TO APPLY BROW POWDER
Have you had a brow powder and don't know how to apply it? Or you've not come across it and would love to try it. Here is how to apply it.
Simply take the powder onto the brush, an angled brow brush is the best, so apply to the brows in light feathering strokes into the shape you desire.
To help brow powder adhere better to your eyebrows; apply a little clear brow gel or clear mascara gel using an angled brow brush, and wipe of excess product.
Hope you'll find this helpful. Have a blessed day..
